+**Alexander Institute** - A non profit scientific research organization that is the front for mutants that are escaping from being held in captivity. Some mutants that are freed in turn work to pay the favor back by helping others escape, find safety, and looking to mysterious elements that are working to create, capture, and use mutants for terrible ends.

+**San Diego** - A military city up against the US/Mexico border known for its good weather, stunning views, and institutional animal abuse. Most of the cities economy is centered around supporting the many different military bases and facilities around the city.
+**SPAWAR** - The US Navies west coast technology center, here many weapons and computer systems are design, tested, and manufactured.  Out of the miles of facility at SPAWAR you can find all manner of different systems and technology in different stages of development or production.
+**DARPA** - Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, works on the bleeding edge of technology and human know how to build the next generation of weapons and military technology today.  Involved in all manners of secret projects, DARPA is known as the department were weapons and technology are born and raised before they reach operational use in the military.

+**Dr. Wex Finlay** - A chemical biologist and former university professor, Dr. Finlay has taken over as the head of the Alexander Institutes San Diego location.  Dr. W, as the staff of the institute call him, has taken many stray mutants to help rehabilitate and reintroduce them into society.  He hopes that not long in the future humans and mutants can coexist peacefully.
+**Skill Monkey** - A former space flight Monkey that was experimented on with mutagen in space.  He was able to fake his death and escape with the help of the Alexander Institute.  Now he works for them in the San Diego area as an engineering for tools and weapons.
+**Grease** - Raised by the scientist that rescued him from captivity, Grease is a large imposing tiger that loves nothing more than being elbows deep in an engine bay.  He spent years learning how to repair cars, motorcycles, boats, anything with an engine.  Now he uses that skill at the Alexander Institute to support the cause of freeing more mutants like him.
+**Mark Hillside** - Chief Operating Officer for the US branch of Naifuhando Corp, a Japanese based technology manufacturer with many US government and military contracts.  Mark is an ambitious man who see's the needs of the business and person power as above anything else.
+**Chief Warrant Office Brad Frances** - Department head for facilities at SPAWAR, CWO4 Frances has been in the US Navy for over 25 years and is looking at retiring at the end of his current tenure.  Known on station as Big Chief, CWO4 Frances is a no nonsense and gruff man, but is fair in his treatment of others and also looks to the right thing no matter the consequences.
